After much mulling of ideas in my head I have today started to write down and properly work out the plot details for an upcoming strip I am working on, which right now has a working title of Bleached.
The basic premise is the exploration of a girl living with a mental disorder, but the twist in the tale is that the story revolves around the fact that her medication is having a much more devastating effect on her life than her diagnosed illness ever did.
It's a story that hits really close to home, and is heavily inspired by real events, though isn't a direct autobiography story. One of the kinks I am trying to work out is trying to find the right mix between true-life material and fiction - as creating a purely autobiographical story doesn't hold much interest to me as there is no real creativity involved in it, I guess.
